AME - ECM is constantly working on improvements of higher education and research
offer in the region, especially in the Danube area, while at the same time setting up and
promoting bilateral and multilateral connections between universities. AME - ECM educates
by supporting development of professional standards, European values, maintenance of
natural resources, ecology, service market, capital and work; and as academic community
contributes to the development of the European economic, political and cultural space.
Due to excellent support of the local communities and academic circles, material
infrastructure and good working conditions, the seat remains in Maribor, while the majority of
study programmes are offered at Murska Sobota location because of competitive advantage.
ECM connects over 150 scientists and teachers from 40 institutions and 12 European
countries.
The goal of ECM is to become a first-class research centre and centre of excellence.
ECM is internationally speaking positioned at the top of the top when it comes to research
institutions, connecting some excellent individuals from around the world with a high level
of SCI. The national and international projects cover the following areas: physics, evolution,
Jewish studies, biology, natural sciences, virology, genetics, social gerontology, religion, to
name but a few.
